State Senator Emil Jones III (D-Chicago) is co-sponsoring a measure that would raise the state’s minimum wage by $2.40 over the next four years. Today, Senator Jones and Action Now held a rally in the Rotunda at the Capital to express the need to raise minimum wage. Senate Bill 1565 will allow the minimum wage to stay consistent with inflation, would lead to increased consumer spending.
